Not only is the list endless, they struggle so much with their brand message.

They feel like they’re talking to a brick wall on social media – like their message is headed into the abyss.  “What’s the point?” they ask, in defeat.

Business by Human Design Type

Generator in Business

Generator types (this includes Manifesting Generators) make up about 70% of the population.
They are the workers and builders of the planet.  They have sustainable energy for work because of their defined sacral centre.

The Generator (and Manifesting Generator) strategy is to respond.
What does this look like in your business?
Instead of setting aside a full day to create content, you’ll most likely want to (even loosely) create on the go.  As things come up in your world for you to respond to, they will spark ideas and insights that you just have to ‘report’ on.

HACK – Have a notebook on hand at all times and/or use the notes app or a voice recorder in your phone to record things as they happen.

On your ‘content creation day’ go back through your notes to see what fires up your Sacral centre again.  This makes content creation a breeze!

Projector in Business

Projectors make up about 20% of the population.  You are here to guide  – you know, to keep Generators in check! 😆

The Projector Strategy is to be invited. 
Often, Projector clients think that this means that they can’t post on social media, enter into conversations, etc. without being invited. 
I think it’s simpler than that.
I have found that when you show up in your business as a guide, as someone who is here to help, to link arms and walk alongside, it lands well. This is the energy that you naturally carry.

You’re not here to force things or to be forceful. You’re here to gently guide.

The thing is, people need to know you to invite you.  They need to see you in order to recognize your gifts. So you need to put yourself out there and establish authority as a guide in your industry.

THIS is the energy that calls people to you.

Tell stories of how you’ve guided your clients to victory.
Let the client be the star of the show as you highlight their wins. 

Your energy is behind the scenes, steering the ship.

Manifestor in Business

Full disclosure here;
Human Design envy is a thing.
If ever I was envious of anything in Human Design, it would be the Manifestor’s ability to initiate.
Because the Manifestor strategy is to inform, they can get away with content that just tells people like it is.

Here’s how it is.
I’m going to ______
I’m about to show you ________

In my mind, it would be much easier to just hit GO! To begin to create content rather than waiting to respond to something that’s already happening, but Manifestors have their struggles too.

Sometimes, they can feel like they’re too bossy or assertive.
Sometimes, especially with an undefined Will centre, they’ll not stand in their authority or knowledge because the underlying current is questioning their value.
Nobody has the perfect Human Design type, strategy and authority and EVERYBODY has the perfect Human Design type, strategy and authority.

Harnessing yours is where your greatest gifts lie.
Don’t worry, there are more tips on that coming!

First, we need to talk about Reflectors.

Reflector in Business

Reflectors are our karmic mirrors.
They have a sampling aura and are a reflection of the health of their communities.

As a Reflector, you are the barometer of how your community is doing.
Your strategy is to wait out a lunar cycle for decisions in your life.  This does not mean that you need to wait 28 days to post or create content in your business, though.

How can you show up as a mirror in your business?
How can you show people where things need to be adjusted and celebrate where things are going well?
How can you show them a better way?

When you speak from this voice, your content will land with the people who are your people, and that’s all that matters.

Who you are in your Business

Who you are in your business, relates greatly to your profile. These are the two lines that make up your Sun and Earth on both the personality and design sides. 

The person in this chart is a 6-2 profile.

In this profile, the 2nd line really just wants to be left alone to do its thing.  The 6th line will go through its 3 life phases though, dragging the hermit along.
From 0-30 is really a third line phase – all about experiencing life and experimenting, making all of the ‘mistakes’
From 30-50 is all about integrating the lessons of the early years (we call this on the roof)
From 60 (we call this off the roof) it’s all about becoming a role model to the collective, sharing your life’s lessons and your wisdom
The conundrum here is that the 6th line is outwardly focused while the 2nd line is inwardly focused.  Remember that 2nd lines have incredible, natural gifts and talents that lie under the surface, just waiting to be called out.  You are here to be wise and to stand in that wisdom, modeling it for others and sharing it when the time is right.

If I were coaching this person, we’d be looking at where she is unknowingly wise. What are her hidden gifts and talents? How are these developed? Depending on the life stage she’s at, we’d look at where she’s integrating the lessons of her youth and how this relates to her ideal client’s journey and where / how she’s showing up as a role model.

This is the character she’s here to play in their story.
It’s what her clients are subconsciously looking for from her.

Your Brand – According to Your Human Design

Take a look at your Human Design chart.

70% of your chart flows through your Conscious Sun. That’s the number on the right hand side, at the top.  In the chart below, the Conscious Sun is Gate 8.

Human Design Gate 8 is all about contribution.
It’s a need to express not only individual contribution, but that of others.
It’s about blazing your own path, even if nobody ever follows you.
This gate offers the gift of knowing how to draw people to a truth.

Now – try and make that into a brand, will ya? 😆
Let’s break it down a bit. 
This person is here to lead.  She’s here to follow her own path and guide people to a truth about themselves. She deeply needs to contribute in order to fulfill her life purpose.

This person is me 😌

My purpose or brand is not what I do.  It’s who I am.  It’s how I stand in my power and guide people to the truth about themselves.

Jot down your own Conscious Sun and see how you are already incorporating it’s message into your business brand.

Your Brand Message – According to Your Human Design

This is fun!
The planet Mercury is all about communication. 
Your Mercury gates are listed 6 down from the top on the left and right sides of your chart.

In this chart (mine) we see Human Design Gate 30 – the gate of Clinging Fire on the design side and Human Design Gate 27 – the gate of Nurturing and Caring on the personality side.

A big part of my brand message is that of being accountable to yourself, of nurturing and caring for yourself so that you can do what you came here to do and be who you came here to be.  You’ll often hear me ‘speak out’ against what nonchalantly toss around as self care, as a society

To me, self care goes so much deeper than bubble baths and glasses of wine. It’s not fancy soaps or buying yourself a new candle.
It’s CARING for yourself on all levels.
Are you rested?
Are you fulfilled?
Are you living your life on purpose?
Does your business fit your life and your Human Design energy type?
Are you responding to life via your Human Design strategy?
Are you in flow or are you going against the current?

I digress.

My brand message is caring, and it’s fiery.
I once had a Human Design coach tell me that my brand tone is this;
“I love you and you need to wake the eff up.”

I mean, she’s not wrong 💙🤣


Jot down your own Mercury and see how you’re already incorporating its meaning into your brand message. You may surprise yourself!

I could unpack pieces of your Human Design in business all day long but what I’ve found is that if I give people too much out of the gate, it paralyzes them because it just seems so BIG.
