Discover where your message lives in your Human Design and use it to create content that converts to paying clients in your business.
In this post, Iâll walk you through some of the places that your message lives within your Human Design so that you can use it to draw your ideal clients to you with ease.
Why?
Because if you’re not getting paying clients, your message isn’t clear enough yet.
Time and time again I work with entrepreneurs who think they need to set up another system in their business, or build another course, or start another platform. But thatâs never the thing thatâs going to work if your message isnât clear.
Your message is your calling card.
Itâs how you magnetize paying clients to you.
So you have to nail it.
Every time.
I encourage you to listen to the accompanying podcast series for this post.
Over the course of 5 days, I cover how to align with your message and your purpose, according to your own Human Design.

What do I mean by content that converts?
The kind of content that has your ideal clients signing up for your paid offers, of course!
So many of the women that I work with feel like they donât have a legit business because they spend all of their time coming up with things to post online, creating new mini offers, anything to get some cash in the door.
Understanding, and being able to communicate your message clearly, changes all of this for good.
Just listen to what past student, Meg Dolan has to say:
First things first:
Download your workbook here so that you can create your message as we go.
âĄYouâre going to want to have some sort of organization tool online to store your ideas and content starters as we go along.
I love TRELLO for this. The free version is all that you need to get going (and quite possibly all youâll ever need) Head on over to this blog post I wrote about repurposing content. In it I show you exactly how to set up Trello to organize all of your content for free!
If youâre a notebook person (someone after my own đ) get yourself a fresh new notebook to work through this content.
âĄYour Human Design chart. Of course, youâre going to need your Human Design chart!
If you donât have it, go here to download it now.
Your strategy is to live your life in response to whatâs happening around you.
How to do this when creating content: The magic is in whatâs alive for you NOW.
Hereâs what I find: Either youâre cock-blocking yourself and telling yourself you canât say that because âŚâŚ.
Or..
Youâre waiting for a signy-er sign.
This has to stop.
The Universe is begging you to co-create with her.
Today, I want you to make a note of the first thought that comes to mind as you go through your day and things show up for you.
Surrender to being in response.
NOTE – it can be super helpful to go out in the world. This may not be a âwork from homeâ activity ALTHOUGH if you are scrolling online and see things that elicit a BODY response in you, go for it.
Listen to the full episode for more on this.
I see you waiting for the invitation and/or the recognition.
And waitingâŚ. And waiting⌠and waiting.
Ra himself taught that waiting for the invitation is for the big things in life and that recognition starts with you.
Hereâs what youâre gonna do today.
Youâre gonna get in front of your mirror. YES. Mirror work đŽâđ¨and recognize your damn self!
âI recognize you for participating in this workshop week.â
âI recognize you for being willing to find your voice.â
âI recognize you for the work youâre doing in the world.â
And whatever else you need to/want to be recognized for.
I invite you to consider energetic invitations that already exist in your world.
How many email subscribers do you have? ______
Facebook fans? ______
Instagram followers?_______
Youtube subscribers?________
Tik Tok (whatever theyâre called) ______
Pinterest followers?_______
These people have invited you to share with them.
Talk about cock-blocking.
Thereâs nothing quite as sad as the Manifestor whoâs been conditioned to play small.
You are not here to be small.
You are here to be BIG.
We need you standing in your power to initiate things!
How you use your informing strategy in content:
For you, itâs all about letting people know whatâs about to happen and youâve probably been conditioned to believe that you need to soften your voice online.
Hogwash.
You inform people whatâs about to happen or what they need to know.
Hereâs the thing.
This is what I see.
Itâs like this.
Hereâs what youâre doing wrong.
This is what Iâm doing next.
If thatâs different than how youâre speaking now but inside your heart just did a little flutter because youâre so ready to ditch the conditioning around telling it like it is, then YAY! Youâre ready to use your Manifestor aura to get the job done with your people!
Sampling and playing in the energy of your community is where it’s at for you.
How can you do this?
Allow yourself to mirror what you see.
I know it’s scary sometimes but it’s what we need from you.
Your energy and personality is malleable so you are uniquely designed to flow in and out of our energy
and evaluate how we’re doing.
As the planets highlight different areas of your design, youâll be different.
You are the hub of the wheel.
Allow yourself to express who you are TODAY in your community and give yourself permission for it to be different tomorrow!
Your Human Design profile is the role your audience needs you to play. Itâs such an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to writing content, and one thatâs often overlooked.
There are 6 different Human Design Profile lines which become the 12 Human Design Profiles.
In the episode, I covered the 6 different profile lines.
Take a moment and write out the meanings or roles of the two lines of your profile.
In your workbook, you can audit your offers, services, and message to see what needs to change to be more effective at drawing the right people to you.
When you’re ready to learn more about the Human Design Profiles, check out this blog post.
Going from bottom to top we have:
Line 1 – The Investigator
Line 2 – The Hermit
Line 3 – The Martyr (although I donât love this word!)
Line 4 – The Opportunist
Line 5 – The Heretic
Line 6 – The Role Model
The first three lines (Lines 1-3) are intrapersonal roles. They are mostly focused on the self.
The second three lines (Lines 4-6) are interpersonal roles. They are mostly focused outside of self.
Line 1 – The Investigator
⨠Motto – The more I know, the less I have to fear! â¨
Line 1 profiles need to research and investigate. They need to go down every rabbit hole in order to understand the foundation and/or the way things work so that they feel safe and secure.
A feeling of inferiority is the worst thing for a first line profile. They need to know that they know that they know!
Line 2 – The Hermit
⨠Motto – I am ready for the unknowable, whatever that may be. â¨
Line 2 profiles have a natural and innate talent for what it is that they do. If you ask them, they have no idea how it is that they do what they do – it comes so naturally that they often donât see it as a gift, even though those around them do.
The second line profile is self-contained, hence the name hermit. The thing thatâs interesting about second line profiles though, is that they will naturally be called out (energetically) to share what they know when the time is right and/or they will be called into community.
Line 3 – The Martyr
⨠Motto – There are no mistakes!!! â¨
Line 3 profiles have tenacity and grit! They are here to fully experience life – in fact, they MUST experience everything for themselves as this is how they learn what theyâre here to learn.
Third line profiles are often led to believe that they are trying too many things and making too many mistakes but this is not the case. It is the only way for them to learn their lessons. For the third line profile, itâs all about discovery and mutation or change.
Line 4 – The Opportunist
⨠Motto – My network finds me when Iâm living my strategy and authority. â¨
The line 4 is deeply influential in the community. He/she builds community, or a strong network, often without being aware that this is a gift.
The line four moves from foundation to foundation. This is not someone who will quit their job on a whim without a back-up plan (and maybe even a back-up plan to the back-up plan!)
Line 5 – The Heretic
⨠Motto –
The line 5 is all about projection. It is the karmic mirror for all who encounter it. Itâs always moving towards the other.
The aura of the 5th line not only invites others to project onto it, it may project solutions onto others whether asked for or not.
Often, 5th line profiles are misunderstood (who wants their karma reflected back to them after all?) and can feel isolated, alone, or like a misfit.
Line 6 – The Role Model
Line 6 profiles go through 3 distinct life phases
⨠From 0-30 is really a third line phase – all about experiencing life and experimenting, making all of the âmistakes.â
⨠From 30-50 is all about integrating the lessons of the early years (we call this on the roof).
⨠From 60 (we call this off the roof) itâs all about becoming a role model to the collective, sharing your lifeâs lessons and your wisdom.
Six line profiles are often seen as aloof.
Whether your Throat centre is defined or undefined has an impact on how youâll use your voice in your business.
Having a defined Throat in your Human Design simply means that you have consistent access to the energy of the Throat centre. The Throat centre is all about taking action, getting things started, and the pressure to speak. Using your voice consistently works well for you. Lean into the messages of the defined gates in your defined throat centre and the messages they hold for you.
With an undefined Throat centre, the energy of these things will be inconsistent for you, and thatâs ok! Nothing is good or bad in Human Design, it just is.
You take in energy from others here and amplify it back into the energetic field.
You are a channel for communication, manifestation and action.
Youâre here to be wise about these things.
Itâs said that in our openness we breathe in the energy of others and in our definition we breathe out into the world.
The gift for you, with an undefined Throat centre is that you intuitively know when itâs time to speak. Ideally, youâll be recognized or invited to speak.
There can be a lot of pressure around this for you that shows up as needing to speak when the timing isnât necessarily right to do so.
If you have an undefined Throat centre and youâre feeling like you need to be âonâ all the time, you can let that go.
For you, it will be powerful to speak when the timing is right for you and when you have something profound to say. A consistent speaking schedule may not be the best strategy for you because your energy isnât consistent from your Throat centre.
I saved the best for last!
Spoken like a true copywriter.
I love words. Not just any words, a symphony of words coming together for a beautiful purpose.
1 – Use uneven numbers in your content writing. If you have 2 points, consider making it 3 points. If you have 4, make it 3 or 5. Truly, the brain loves the beat of 3 so use this as often as you can.
2 – ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS speak as if youâre speaking to one person. Bring your big girl energy and act as if thousands are following you but speak as if youâre speaking to ONE person. So itâs not âhey everyone!â itâs YOU when youâre speaking.
3 – Set the scene in your content.
Instead of saying âthe other day I had a conversation with a friend at a coffee shopâ
Try âIt was Tuesday morning. As I sat nestled into the corner of my favourite coffee shop sipping my latte, my friend walked in and ___________â
This is fun! In your Human Design blueprint youâll see a set of 4 arrows near your head centre. This is your Human Design variable.
The bottom left arrow on your Human Design chart tells you the environment you need to be in to see what youâre here to see.
It looks like this:
If your arrow points left, youâll need a more structured environment.
If your arrow points right, youâll need to have more flow, and may find you need to change up your working environment regularly.
Depending on where you ran your chart, you may see numbers in triangles and circles near the arrow. Weâre not going to get into the nuances of that within this post. We dive deeply into it in the Content by Design course.
1 – Caves
2 – Markets
3 – Kitchens
4 – Mountains
5 – Valleys
6 – Shores
There are subsets of these categories, depending upon whether your arrow points left or right but these are the main categories.
If you have a Caves environment in your Human Design, itâs important for you to sit with your back to the wall, facing the entrance of a room. Further, youâll do best with just one door in the room youâre working in (or any room youâre in!)
If you have a Markets environment, youâll come alive in a place where goods and money are changing hands. You donât need to buy anything, simply being out and about where things are being exchanged will ignite your creativity and will allow you to see what youâre here to see.
If you have a Kitchens environment, you need to be in the midst of transformation. Think of a busy restaurant kitchen where things are being transformed quickly. This is the environment youâll thrive in. Hustle, bustle and transformation.
If you have a Mountains environment, youâll flow best when you can look down from a higher level. This could be a raised platform, an office on a higher floor, or even the upper floor of your home. This elevated perspective will allow you to see what you need to see in order to engage your creativity.
If you have a Valleys environment, youâre meant to be able to look out and up to see the world. A basement office may work well for you or a sunken room where you can look up from the âvalleyâ to see what youâre here to see.
Think of a shoreline and what it offers. This is a place where two types of terrain meet. If you have a Shores environment, youâll do best where you can clearly see two different âplacesâ from where you are standing.
Challenge yourself to lean into your unique Human Design to confidently own your message every time you speak online!
âśď¸ no more staring at a blank screen feeling disconnected from your ideal clients
âśď¸ no more wishy washy posts that serve no purpose other than to feed the algorithm.
âśď¸ no more using your Human Design as an excuse not to create content that sings rather than as your superpower
đđťSee how I used the beat of 3 there?
When youâre ready to own your message and speak confidently every time you open your mouth, drawing your perfect fit clients in with every word, check out the full version of the Content by Design course here.
Hereâs what former student, Andrea Slate has to say about the Content by Design course:
“It blows my mind how often I call on what I got to learn, and to practice, within the Content by Design course. As a writer and a small business owner, I thought I would be using this to write more content on my social media.
However, I have been applying it to EVERYTHING that I write. Content. Emails. Messages. Proposals. In fact, after re-working my proposal (using what I learned in the Content by Design course) I have signed EVERY single client I have sent a proposal too AND I have filled my books and now have a waitlist to work with me. That is the sheer power of committing to this container and Vickieâs teachings!”
