Gate 46 (Gene Key 46) is the Gate of Determination; explore its position in the human design chart, the 29-46 channel, and the G Center; embrace Gate 46’s love;

Introduction to Human Design Gate 46 and Gene Key 46

Human Design Gate 46 is the Gate of Determination. It’s one of my favourite gates in the bodygraph because of its meaning. People with gate 46 defined are always in the right place at the right time. It’s all about serendipity. The dictionary defines serendipity as: ‘an unsought, unintended, or unexpected, but fortunate discovery or experience that produces a wonderful outcome.’

Gate 46 is said to be the love of the body or the vessel. It’s loving every vessel and every experience, regardless of the outcome. This is beautiful energy. 💙

It’s all about trusting yourself and trusting life to bring you the ‘right’ experiences.

Gate 46 is located in the G center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 29-46 Channel and Gate 46’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

This gate is part of the Channel of Discovery (29-46), one of my favourite channels.
With this channel defined, you’re here to throw yourself into your experiences, the right experiences for you, with reckless abandon. You’ll honour your Sacral response and commit to the things that feel like a hell yes for you and forget about the outcome. You’re in it for the experience and there’s no such thing as failure. It’s of utmost importance that you commit only to the things that are a sacral yes.

NOTE – If Gate 46 or the entire channel is defined for you, when processing decisions, regardless of your inner authority, it can be helpful to move your body while you talk it out.

Tapping into Gate 46’s Energy

How does Gate 46 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that loving energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 46 is defined (the line is colored in)  or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the G Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Here are the possibilities:

Defined Gate 46 in a Defined G Center

If Gate 46 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You’ll move through life serendipitously, enjoying your experiences as you go along, provided that you commit to the right things for you.

Defined Gate 46 in an Undefined G Center

If Gate 46 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has gate 29 (The Gate of The Abysmal), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 46

If Gate 46 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 46

The shadow of Gate 46, according to Gene Keys, is seriousness.

Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 46 is the way of delight. Isn’t that delightful? 😝
It moves from seriousness, through delight, into ecstasy. YES PLEASE! When we are too serious, it’s because we’re not enjoying life as it is. We’re lost in the drama and focused on what’s not working well for us. There isn’t any of that with gate 46! It delights in every experience on its way towards ecstasy.

I’m not sure why but when I read about this Gene Key, I always think about the Meg Ryan scene in the diner in ‘When Harry met Sally.’

When was the last time you allowed yourself to experience delight, just for the hell of it?
