Introduction to Human Design Gate 33 and Gene Key 33

Human Design Gate 33 is The Gate of Privacy.

With this gate defined, you’re someone who needs regular time alone. Retreat needs to be built into your routine in order for you to reflect on things that have happened. You’re uniquely able to see all sides of an issue and share all angles of an experience, like a wise tribal elder. You’ll become more influential as you age and may be a writer, a speaker, or a teacher.

Gate 33 is located in the Throat center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 13-33 Channel and Gate 33’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

This gate is part of the Channel of The Prodigal (Channel 13-33). The past is very important to you. You move through life, naturally keeping a record of everything. You have a gift for understanding what’s going on under the surface.

Tapping into Gate 33’s Energy

How does Gate 33 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that influential energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 33 is defined (the line is colored in)  or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the Throat Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Defined Gate 33 in a Defined Throat Center

If Gate 33 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You’re here to share your experiences and unpack the lessons held within them.

Defined Gate 33 in an Undefined Throat Center

If Gate 33 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has gate 13 defined (The Gate of The Listener), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 33

If Gate 33 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 33

The shadow of Gate 33, according to Gene Keys, is forgetting.

Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 33 moves from forgetfulness, through mindfulness, into revelation. Mindfulness, in Gene Key 33 is found through ritual. Gate 33 requires retreat and rituals can be a beautiful way to build retreat into your life. The highest expression of this Gene Key is to come to the revelation of the beginning within the end of every experience.
