Introduction to Human Design Gate 26 and Gene Key 26

Human Design Gate 26 is often referred to as the Gate of the Salesman or of Integrity. People with this gate have the ability to twist just about anything to their own advantage. People with this gate are often highly skilled and will move up the ladder to positions of authority quickly. 

Location of Gate 26 in your Human Design Chart

Gate 26 is located in the Ego center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 44-26 Channel and Gate 26’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

This is part of the Channel of Surrender (44-26).
It’s a Projected channel and is part of the Ego Circuit.
You have a gift for working with people and can present things in a way that is a win-win. With this channel defined, you’re an excellent negotiator and should be the person in the team at work who’s driving the bargain. You have a unique ability to adapt your message and delivery to the person in front of you.

Tapping into Gate 26’s Energy

How does Gate 26 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 26 is defined (the line is colored in) or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the Ego Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Here are the possibilities:

Defined Gate 26 in a Defined Ego Center

If Gate 26 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You are a natural born salesperson (this can mean ideas, concepts, products or messages and doesn’t need to be literal). You’ll be called to integrity lessons over and over. 

Defined Gate 26 in an Undefined Ego Center

If Gate 26 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has Gate 44 (the Gate of Alertness), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 26

If Gate 26 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 26

The shadow of Gate 26, according to Gene Keys, is pride. Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 26 moves from pride, through artfulness, to invisibility. Doesn’t that sound grand? 
Gate 26 is clever and will always find the bargain or the shortcut. Hence, the integrity lessons keep coming up.
