Human Design Gate 55 is The Gate of The Spirit. Abundance lives here, as does moodiness. In Gate 55, lives a deep melancholy. With this gate defined, you need to allow yourself to feel the feels, not try to control your moods. This is an acoustic gate. You’ll be finely attuned to tone of voice and delivery when someone is speaking so it’s not just what’s being said but how it’s being said.

This is one place in the bodygraph where emotional eating lives.
Abundance and creativity also live here.

Gate 55 is located in the Emotional Solar Plexus center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 39-55 Channel and Gate 55’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

This gate is part of the Channel of Emoting (39-55).
With this channel defined, you’ll experience your emotions in waves. You’ll have deep lows that may last a while. Your emotions will slowly climb from low to high and then back down again. Coming out of your lows, you’ll often experience great creativity. You may spend a long time in between emotional waves and then suddenly your mood will plummet, seemingly without explanation. Often, your emotions are provoked.

Tapping into Gate 55’s Energy

How does Gate 55 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that abundant energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 55 is defined (the line is colored in)  or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the Emotional Solar Plexus Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Defined Gate 55 in a Defined Emotional Solar Plexus Center

If Gate 55 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You’re deeply creative, on some level and sound is important to you (sometimes the absence of sound is as beautiful as sound!) You tend towards periods of melancholy and need alone time when you’re feeling low.  Honour this.

Defined Gate 55 in an Undefined Emotional Solar Plexus Center

If Gate 55 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has gate 39 (The Gate of Provocation), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 55

If Gate 55 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 55

The shadow of Gate 55, according to Gene Keys, is victimization.
Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 55 moves from victimization, through freedom. In its highest expression, it is freedom. The dilemma in this Gene Key is in seeking external validation. Gene Key or Gate 55 is part of the 2027 mutation that is coming. It’s all about the individual as we will no longer be under the Cross of Planning.  

A personal exercise for Gate 55 awareness

When was the last time I felt deep melancholy and did I give myself permission to be in it?
If so, what did I experience there? What were the gifts of allowing myself my emotions?
If not, how can I allow myself to feel what I need to feel, moving forward?
