Introduction to Human Design Gate 43 and Gene Key 43

Human Design Gate 43 is The Gate of Insight. You have a gift for seeing things in a unique way. You’re not overly interested in what others know, rather you’re interested in your own knowledge. You can be fully engrossed in something and when someone is talking to you, you’re deaf to them. It’s often hard for you to put what you know into words that others will understand. Because of this, you may have had a difficult time learning in the traditional way.

Gate 43 is located in the Ajna center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 43-23 Channel and Gate 43’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

Gate 43 is part of the Channel of Structuring (Channel 43-23). Right timing is very important for you when sharing your thoughts. Because this is Projected energy, it’s important that people ask you to share in order for what you’re saying to land. You’re here to impact the way that others see things.

Tapping into Gate 43’s Energy

How does Gate 43 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that [whatever] energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 43 is defined (the line is colored in)  or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the Ajna Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Here are the possibilities:

Defined Gate 43 in a Defined Ajna Center

If Gate 43 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You are an innovative thinker that may often be misunderstood. When you wait to be invited to speak, you’ll weave gold.

Defined Gate 43 in an Undefined Ajna Center

If Gate 43 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has gate 23 (The Gate of Assimilation), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 43

If Gate 43 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 43

The shadow of Gate 43, according to Gene Keys, is deafness.
Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 43 moves from deafness, through insight, into epiphany. All of these states have acoustic qualities to them, no? The challenge here is to allow yourself to hear what’s there for you. When you do, the epiphanies in Gate 43 are truly magical.

A personal exercise for Gate 43 awareness

Is my habit to blurt my thoughts out where they land on deaf ears?
How can I wait to share my thoughts until I’m asked for them so that they can truly transform?

Embrace the Human Design Gate 43 Mantra:
