Introduction to Human Design Gate 57 and Gene Key 57

Human Design Gate 57 is The Gate of Intuitive Clarity. It’s the most intuitive energy in the Human Design bodygraph. It’s an acoustic gate that is said to be the gate of the right ear. The immune system speaks with the oldest of awarenesses through this gate. It’s an instinct for survival and it’s quick. With this gate defined, you’re not here to be influenced by others. You may even tune them out.

Location of Gate 57 in your Human Design Chart

Gate 57 is located in the Spleen center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 57-10, 57-34, and 57-20 Channels and Gate 57’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

This gate is potentially part of 3 channels.

The Channel of Perfected Form (57-10):
With this channel defined, your life has to be about following your own direction, carving your own path. You must follow your own intuition to create lasting beauty. Your very survival depends on it.  Your behaviour is always guided by your intuition.

The Channel of Power (57 – 34):
With this channel defined, you’re powerfully responsive when you trust your intuition to guide you, and that intuition is FAST. When you can lean in and fully trust your intuition, you are the archetype of power.

The Channel of the Brainwave (57-20):
This channel is highly acoustic as Gate 57 is the Gate of the right ear. Noise may bother people with this channel defined, specifically sound that is off key or annoying. Chatter will drive them crazy. This is an intuitive channel that sees the truth in the now. 

Tapping into Gate 57’s Energy

How does Gate 57 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that intuitive energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 57 is defined (the line is colored in)  or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the Spleen Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Here are the possibilities:

Defined Gate 57 in a Defined Spleen Center

If Gate 57 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You are highly intuitive and have an acoustic sensitivity that others don’t share.

Defined Gate 57 in an Undefined Spleen Center

If Gate 57 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has any of the gates mentioned above (10, 20, or 34), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 57

If Gate 57 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 57

The shadow of Gate 57, according to Gene Keys, is unease.
Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 57 moves from unease, through intuition, into clarity. Following your intuition is the only way to be clear. The dilemma of this Gene Key is trust. Following your intuition requires trust in the unseen.
