Introduction to Human Design Gate 50 and Gene Key 50

Human Design Gate 50 is The Gate of Values. This is tribal energy. It’s a gate of establishing values and principles for the tribe. It’s aura busting energy that breaks down people’s defences quickly. There’s a pushback in the energy here or a need to challenge the establishment. With this gate defined, you feel a responsibility to your community, a responsibility to hold up the values of your community but often take on more responsibility than you should.

Location of Gate 50 in your Human Design Chart

Gate 50 is located in the Spleen center of the bodygraph or human design chart.

The 27-50 Channel and Gate 50’s Human Design Circuitry

Think of Human Design Circuitry as the circuit board that lies beneath the rest of your design. Circuitry is the thing that all other aspects are placed upon. It lays the foundation and the energies here never change.  

There are 3 main circuits in Human Design: Individual, Collective, and Tribal. 

This gate is part of The Channel of Preservation (27-50). With this channel defined, you’re someone who invokes trust from others easily. You’re here to maintain the values of your community or tribe. You have momma and poppa bear energy. The energy of nurturing the tribe while holding them accountable to the values that have been established.

Tapping into Gate 50’s Energy

How does Gate 50 show up in your chart, and how can you tap into that energy? Start by taking a look at your own chart to see if Gate 50 is defined (the line is colored in)  or undefined (the line is blank). Next, look at the Spleen Center to see if it is defined (colored in) or undefined (blank).

Here are the possibilities:

Defined Gate 50 in a Defined Spleen Center

If Gate 50 is defined for you in a defined centre you have access to this energy always. It’s part of who you are. You’re designed to feel a deep responsibility to your tribe.
Principles and values are of uber importance to you. There will either be an alignment here with the establishment (police, military, etc) or a big push against it.

Defined Gate 50 in an Undefined Spleen Center

If Gate 50 is defined for you in an undefined centre it is considered dormant. It will be activated when you are with someone who has gate 27 (The Gate of Caring), defined OR when a planetary transit defines this gate.

Accessing Energy with an Undefined Gate 50

If Gate 50 is undefined for you, fear not! 
You’ll have access to the energy of this gate when you are with others who have it defined and/or through planetary transits. You can borrow this energy by being in the aura of someone who has it defined.

Unveiling The Shadow of Gate 50

The shadow of Gate 50, according to Gene Keys, is corruption. He explains that while you may not be a corrupt individual, there is something corrupt that you are here to unravel, in your karma so that you can move through to harmony.

Richard Rudd (Gene Keys) explains that Gene Key 50 moves from corruption, through equilibrium, to harmony.

A personal exercise for Gate 50 awareness

Where am I holding tightly to outdated principles or values?
Am I allowing myself to get stuck in relationships because of my inability to see the other side?
